Amy received her BFA in Violin Performance from Purchase College and has studied at the University of Oregon and Mannes College of Music.  She has held positions with the Anchorage Symphony, Bangor Symphony, Mid Coast Symphony and the Petersburg Symphony.  Amy currently maintains a private teaching studio and freelances in Richmond, VA.     


     Throughout her musical studies, Amy has maintained a professional relationship with the animal community.  At the age of 16 she started her first job at a boarding facility in Pittsburgh, PA.  Since then she has worked in numerous practices including veterinary hospitals, boarding and grooming facilities and animal shelters throughout the country and currently works at County Line Kennel in Powhatan, VA.  Amy received her certification as a Small Animal Massage Practitioner from the Northwest School of 


Animal Massage in Vashon, WA where she is currently studying Performance Massage.  Along with continuing her education she is an active volunteer with local rescue organizations providing massage, basic manners skills, foster care, and organizing fundraisers.  She also regularly visits United Methodist Family Services and the Thomas Johns Cancer Hospital with her certified therapy dog, Noah.  Amy attends training classes, participates in agility, canine freestyle and competitive rally and shares her house with her dogs Lazlo, Noah, Hadley and Cider and her 5 birds.
